What is the energy level in the various foods in the mastery PRO range ?
Dogs are carnivores, with an omnivorous tendency (contrary to cats who are strict carnivores) and as such, have to find a sufficiently high energy level in order to keep the size of their ration as small as possible and thus (like wild carnivores) respect their particular anatomical feature : a small stomach compared to bodyweight.
The foods in the mastery PRO range have therefore been formulated to have a metabolisable energy level between 3920 and 4360 Kcal/kg of food, provided by carbohydrates, proteins and especially fats, of which dogs need large amounts.
A super premium dog food must be high in energy : energy is provided by carbohydrates, proteins and especially fats, which in a high percentage, are particularly well digested by carnivores, contrary to man.
